| By the way, I visited your home town Tourcoing (is it not?) through Google Earth and wandered around in the streets and, ooops, I was in Belgium. The border is almost invisible and runs right through the urban area. | |

| As you await an answer, may we abuse of your knowledge of the whole conflict ? More precisely, would you have details on the OOBs of the RC4 disaster ( for Lionel's game ) ? _________________ "Si tu peux y jouer, tu peux le concevoir" J. Dunningan

| The knowledge I have is the OoB I used in my Tonkin game. A person you should ask is Olivier Clementin who has done a closer research. His mail is: olivier.clementin @ gmail.com | |

| Lionel, stop showing off ! Kim, no problem with the map. The more practical size is however 900 px wide or less.

| The number on all support units (artillery etc) is their moral (2/4 RAC have the best morale. The West African gunners were steadfast no matter what happened). I have made no difference between 105 and 155 etc. I want to make this a fast playing game (I have to prove myself since both Ici and Tonkin became games that players felt were too long) without too many small details. A barrage is a barrage and the only differences are that a VM barrage covers a hex and its "ZoC" (because it is a full battalion) and the French covers only one hex (because it is only a battery/platoon). But the French have +1 (which can be seen on the barrage markers) because it was more efficient. Download the tables and you will see that it will matter. | |

| Deduct French gas and food: The French player deducts 3 gas and 4 food (he starts the game with only 9 gas and 12 food). If unable to deduct 3 gas then no ammo may be included in the coming airdrop (simply because the French can't collect the ammo from where they are dropped) and no tanks and artillery may be moved. If unable to deduct 4 food then units with only 2 in moral (and perhaps even those with 3 in moral) will start losing steps (desertion, either towards home in case of the Thais, or internally to the banks of the river Nam Yum in case of the North African units) http://www.kangerproject.com/DienBienPhu/play/DBP-play-1c.jpg | |
